The CRHP Weekend may be “the answer”.

This spiritual weekend is a great Opportunity to meet other parishioners and revisit your spiritual relationship with God. We can guarantee that a weekend of fellowship and interacting with St. Joseph’s finest will be the catalyst to your renewal weekend with God. 

The weekend is centered on Parish renewal held separately for men and women. It furthers spiritual and community growth in Christian life. You will hear and learn about God through the lives of others. You can choose to share in conversations and thoughts about every day life, family, society and at work. Of course, great food, company, camaraderie and music is included.

A fee of $35.00 to offset the weekend costs is requested but not mandatory.

Top 10 Reasons why you should go

On the next CRHP Renewal Weekend:

1. Food – we eat continuously.. and it is good stuff, too. Ignore the stories you heard about the chili!!

2. Revisit your faith journey in life and realize the blessings that God has bestowed upon you and the wonders that he has performed for you.

3. Renew your passion for the Eucharist and your relationship with Jesus.

4. Weekend away from the spouse/kids/significant other.. you don’t have to tell them that’s why you’re going –use reason #2 combined with reason #3 if  you encounter resistance – AND if you can make your spouse or significant other go that’ll be 2 weekends that you don’t have to do what they want.

5. Make 35 new friends – 35 friends that you will know by name by the end of the weekend and will look forward to seeing at mass on Sunday.

6. Get to listen to Father David and by the end of the weekend you may be able to understand what he is saying through his incredible Irish accent.

7. Awesome sleeping accommodations – private suites, turn down service, etc. – okay, just kidding, but you knew that!!

8. You get to listen without judging and share without being judged.

9. You get lots of free stuff.. okay, so you are asked to pay $35, but other than that everything else is free.

10. Just like Las Vegas – what happens on the weekend stays on the weekend -  and you probably shouldn’t use this reason if you are trying to get permission.

1. You know exactly what God wants you to be doing with your life and you’re doing it.

2. All the cool shirt colors are already taken by CRHP 1-5 and you’re afraid you’ll be stuck wearing taupe or fuchsia… if you are a guy you’re not even sure what those colors are and sure wouldn’t admit it if you did.

3. You already have an intimate relationship with your Lord Jesus Christ.

4. You heard about the killer chili... 

5. You already know everyone in the parish by name.

6. You don’t need or want anymore friends.

7. All those CRHP folks seem really happy most of the time… and you really have too much joy in your life right now…. time to cut back, really...

8. You’re thinking CRHP is some weirdo left-wing bird watching group and the weekend involves sitting up at the school in the woods…. Okay, give me a break, it was hard coming up with 10 reasons why not to go on this retreat!.

9. You don’t have the $35 – yeah half of my group didn’t pay, so this isn’t good reason either…

10. Your spouse or significant other wants you to go and you’re not about to start doing what he or she wants… not at this stage of the game.
