The purpose of the Funeral Liturgy Planning Committee is to assist families in planning the service for the funeral mass and wake.
  • Contact the family to set up a meeting time to discuss what type of service they desire.
  • Obtain musicians and altar services
  • Confirm date of funeral mass and presiding priest
  • Obtain lectors if family members do not wish to serve in this capacity
  • Confirm arrangments with funeral director the time and date of the wake; also the time and date of the funeral mass
  • Set up the Church on the day of the funeral mass
  • Assist priest at burial site if necessary
